The Lunabar Experience
Not too long ago(2 nights ago, 12/4/2007, Thursday), my friends and I decided to go to a place called Lunabar. A bar that we people from Penang has heard so much of it.
Take note: Obviously, this post is for people who has never been to that place.
So 2 nights ago, we made up our minds to go there since none of us like to go clubbing where people do morally wrong things as well as the unhealthyness of the place inhaling accumulated amounts of smoke coming out from different brands of cigarette in one enclosed place from different ‘Ah Beng’s and Ah Lien’s lung. As for the morally wrong things, the list goes way down.
We wanted to go to a place where we can have a nice chat under the eyes of the moon as well as practice perfect manners to one another respecting different gender and race and that place was called Lunabar.
So lucky for me, the red car guy took me there. Remember the red car i was talking about!! Yeah him because i really did not know where this place is.
Before i knew it, we have reached the place.
As i stepped down the car, there was already a person waiting for us outside our car. Excellent service from Lunabar i thought. I expected nothing less from an exclusive place.
Sadly!!It was an indian man. There goes my idea of a warm welcome and special treatment. He was there for car park fees. The car park was RM10. No discount!!
As i got out and walked to this building, clearly not having a sight or sign that says lunabar, i stumbled upon something.
A ghost!!
Luckilly its not a ghost!!You see..Supposedly i heard from a friend that the building where lunabar is situated is haunted. Got a shock that the haunting already started outside the building!!
Lets forget about the ghost and back to Lunabar.
For those of you who don’t know where this bar is, its at the top of an office building called Pan Global. From the front, you would definitely not have known that such a bar could exist.
Take note: If your boyfriend/husband spends most of his time in pan global for business reasons, don’t be too proud yet!!Make sure you check up on him. Could be a different kind of business altogether and not making millions!!
To reach to lunabar, we obviously had to take a lift. So, we took the lift which stopped at the 24th floor.
At the 24th floor we were not there yet. We had to take another lift. So, like all late night zombies, we followed the directions which goes through a staircase as well.
At the 34th floor, we managed to finally see Lunabar. HOORAY!!!!WE MADE IT!!!
Just to make sure that my lunabar experience does not end up with pictures that simply focuses on how good some people look with a black background, i am going to make sure that some of you have a good look of what i saw at this "OVER-HEARD" bar place.
That’s the dj with his equipment at the entrance.
That’s the bar with two desperate man.
Thats the pool. The cool thing about the bar is that its right next to a pool(about 50 metres long).
The toilet with funny looking knobs to get water. The peeing place is cool. You pee on a glass. Its not in the picture. I did not find it really cool to take a picture of the place we MEN PEE!!
View from upstairs. As you can see, we can see our proudest symbol of Malaysian achievement.
A picture of myself with the person who should not have been back. A prove as well that i was there.
The menu with a list of drinks that they serve. RM 9 for a bottle of RO water is as far as i could possibly remember. Hey!!I hope foreigners don’t go back saying water is Expensive in Malaysia.
And the special event of that day was a UFO flying around kl which we could not identify. Some said birds, some said kites, some said helicopter. This thing that was moving around was emitting light!!
Conclusion: Its a place where romantic couples can chill with drinks under the moon, with the sight of the kl twin towers, and spend their time finding a star for their boyfriend/girlfriend.
Other than that, I could also say its a place where a distressed couple could use the cooling water ambience to save a relationship.
As what kind of girls you are expecting to be seeing there, Well!!you’ll be able to see girls who carry bags like this!!I shit you not!!Its a lock to her special compartment!! So, if you think you can afford to go out with girls who carry bags like this, Lunabar is the place for you. As for me, i’ll stay at home and hear music through my small laptop speakers. Have a nice day!
